Project Caseworker

Hours: 13 – 20 hours per week (actual hours and working pattern by agreement with successful candidate)

Location: Flexible within Wiltshire with the ability to travel countywide.

Salary: £22,748 per annum pro rata plus 6% pension contribution after 3 months

Annual Leave:  33 days (inclusive of bank holidays), pro rata

Wiltshire Citizens Advice is looking for a flexible project caseworker with an advice background.

You will have a thorough knowledge of the law and practice relevant to money and welfare benefits advice along with a proven track record of delivering high quality advice and management of a complex caseload.

We would like you to be a qualified Debt Relief Order Intermediary but a willingness to undergo the training is more important.

You will have an empathy and commitment to work within the aims, principles and policies of the Citizens Advice service and can identify with our values to be fair, responsible and professional.

Wiltshire Citizens Advice is evolving and needs new people to help deliver our service in a new way.

What you need:  You need to be client focussed and can work to support volunteers and help them grow. We need people to ensure that we can best use our staff and volunteers to provide the best quality advice, face to face and on the telephone. You will need experience of working in a customer service environment, possibly in the advice, statutory or third sector.

What you don’t need: Previous work experience in Citizens Advice or in depth technical knowledge of a particular advice subject area. We have multiple channels of support to help you do this. You just need to bring the enquiring mind and the people skills.
