Age UK Recruiting LIFT Volunteers in Tidworth
  • Would you like to help older people get fitter and help prevent loneliness and social isolation?
  • Would you like to train as a physical activity leader and run your own fitness and friendship club as part of AgeUK Wiltshire’s countywide network?
  • A FREE 4 day L.I.F.T course, First Aid, on-going support and further training will be provided for fun loving, enthusiastic volunteers who fit our training bursary criteria and have a few hours to spare once a fortnight to help older people in our community.We provide a free four day LIFT course for people who want to volunteer and this will give you all the skills and knowledge you need to lead clubs in your local area.  The course is endorsed by REPS (register of exercise professionals and Skills Active.   • LIFT (Low Impact Functional Training) is a series of activities and games designed to get older people taking part in physical activity in your local community. The sessions are fun and enjoyable and everyone who comes along has a good time. All of the exercises are done using safe seated and standing exercises and are aimed at people who are 65+
