Breastfeeding Support Journey in Wiltshire

Breastfeeding Support Journey in Wiltshire

Breastfeeding Awareness Week (Monday 25th to Friday 29th June) provides us with a great opportunity to highlight the wide-ranging benefits of breastfeeding, from strengthening immunity and providing nutritional value to emotional bonding and building mental resilience. Breastfeeding Awareness Week will promote the positive impact that breastfeeding has on babies’ development, as well as promoting the role that healthcare professionals, commissioners and managers have in supporting mums to breastfeed for at least the first six months of their baby’s life.

Start4Life can support your promotion of Breastfeeding Awareness Week in the following ways:

  • You can encourage your front-line colleagues to signpost pregnant women and new mums to our helpful breastfeeding resources – learn more about these below

Earlier this year we launched the 24/7 Breastfeeding Friend from Start4Life, available via Amazon Alexa’s voice search service. We’ll be in touch again soon to tell you more about how we will be extending this product to Google Home, later on in the year. If you have any questions, please contact partnerships@phe.gov.uk
