Employers in the Pewsey area are being asked to help give students an idea about the world of work at its annual careers fair.
The event will include information workshops and ‘have a go’ sessions for young people, to guide them towards a future career. Advice will be given on apprenticeships, local employment opportunities, and further education routes.
Business psychologist and school enterprise advisor Jan de Jonge, whose company People Business Psychology is based near Pewsey, said: ““This is a great opportunity for the Pewsey Vale Students to get acquainted more with the world of business.
“The world is forever getting smaller, and local Wiltshire businesses are very keen to demonstrate students from Pewsey Vale how pupils may want to consider a career that they may not have thought of before and get enthused by exciting opportunities.
“It will help them to reflect on, and inform them about, their futures ahead of them. This event, where local organisations profile themselves to students, is beneficial for both the students and the local organisations and businesses.”
The event will take place from 8.30am until 3pm on Tuesday, September 26. Employers who wish to get involved should contact assistant headteacher Chantal Dean at firstname.lastname@example.org
