The Live Well offer, developed by Wiltshire Council leisure services, together with Tidworth Area board and partner organisations, provides adults with the opportunity to access a range of daytime activities, services and information within Wiltshire Council leisure facilities and has been designed particularly with older residents in mind.
The launch event on Wednesday 9 May, 11am – 3pm at Tidworth Leisure Centre will showcase the type of activities and information on offer before weekly sessions are introduced on Monday’s and Wednesday’s.
There will be both social and physical activity elements offered as part of the launch including seated sports, board games, walking netball, cards, badminton and bowls. In addition, there will be access to the library and the onsite café where hot and cold refreshments can be purchased. Away from the activities taking place organisations including Age UK, Tidworth Community Area Partnership and the Wiltshire Council Health trainer service will be in attendance to provide people with information about local services relevant to them.
Individuals, local groups and organisations are all welcome to come along and get involved with the day. The activities are particularly suited for older residents, individuals with limited mobility, people recovering from an illness or injury, or anyone who would like to take the opportunity to lead a healthier lifestyle.
