Get Tidworth Walking!

Get Tidworth Walking!

Join us for some Fresh Air

Get Wiltshire Walking-the walking project set up by Wiltshire Council and funded by Public Health –is enjoying a very busy start to this New Year.

The project, now in its 6th year, offers free weekly led walks at 22 different locations across the county including a new walk every Wednesday from Tidworth Leisure Centre commencing Wednesday April 6th at 9.30 am

The walks conform to the “Walking for Health” ethos and so are led by a fully qualified walk leader; they last between 60 and  90 minutes and have all been fully risk assessed thus ensuring you have a safe and enjoyable experience in some great company and get to know more about the local area you live in.

After the walk the group enjoys a bit of social together back at the leisure centre.

The scheme is highly successful not just in helping people increase their physical activity and thus reduce the risk of a wide variety of health issues ,but also in bringing people together as a community and helping reduce social isolation.

It is now widely acknowledged that being outdoors greatly improves mental wellbeing and reduces stress and anxiety levels.

Once registered with the scheme you can enjoy any of the walks on offer and venture around the county always assured of a warm welcome.

So why not try us and join us for some fresh air!!

Every Wednesday 09:30 Tidworth Leisure Centre.
