With all 98 unitary seats up for election, as well all parish and town councils, the elections in Wiltshire will be one of the biggest in the country. Carlton Brand, Wiltshire’s Returning Officer for local elections and Wiltshire Council Corporate Director, said: “The scale of the local elections here in Wiltshire is one of the largest in the UK and we are working hard behind the scenes to ensure the process goes smoothly. “The outcome of the elections will affect local people’s daily lives as well as determining how over £300 million is allocated annually to important public services across the county. So I urge everyone eligible to make sure they are registered to vote and have their voice heard.” For more information about local elections, including how to register as a candidate, people should visit www.wiltshire.gov.uk/elections Those not already registered to vote, should visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
