In October 2014 NHS Dorset CCG launched an in-depth review of services with the aims of assessing the future health needs of people in Dorset and planning how best to meet them. This included looking at how well current services work and how they might be reorganised and improved.
As a result proposals have been made for changes to the way the three major (acute) hospitals in Dorset are organised and how care outside of hospital is provided so that more services are available closer to home.
A 12 week public consultation to gather views on these proposals has been launched.
You can read more about this work and how these proposals might affect you on www.dorsetsvision.nhs.uk where you will also be able to view some animated films, read the consultation document and complete the online questionnaire.
