Couples tying the knot can find inspiration for their special day at an open day at Bourne Hill in Salisbury in January.
The Wiltshire Council site, which has two ceremony rooms with a wealth of history, will be opening its doors on 23 January from 10am to 2pm.
Local exhibitors will be showcasing a range of services and products and there will be a separate “bridal room” for demonstrations of dresses and hair and beauty products for the big day.
Exhibitors will include hair and beauty artists, photographers, caterers, bridal gowns, menswear, marquees, cakes, party favours, ceremony stationery, cars for special occasions, gifts and musicians.
The free event will feature music from a pianist and saxophonist and include a chance to view and book the historic rooms and speak to the registration team at Bourne Hill about planning the big day.
Stuart Wheeler cabinet member for heritage and arts said: “There is a huge amount of preparation which goes into making a wedding day such a special event. This open day gives people a chance to look around this unique setting and will bring together a whole range of services to help people shape their special day into a truly memorable one.”
Bourne Hill has two ceremony rooms available for wedding ceremonies. The Library is a 70-seater room surrounded by antique books in the grade ll* listed section of the Bourne Hill building which only recently opened for ceremonies. The Wyndham room can seat 40 guests and has hosted more than 1,000 ceremonies since it opened five years ago.
