PROPOSED TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER FOR CONSULTATION – TIDWORTH

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to revoke The County of Wiltshire (Tidworth) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Taxi Rank Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2011, with amendment 2 and re-enact it in the above Order and to include additional restrictions as follows:

a) To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of roads:

Avon Road both sides from its junction with Kohat Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction

Bourne Road both sides from its junction with Kennet Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction

Kennet Road both sides from its junction with Station Road for a distance of 81 metres in a northerly direction

Kennet Road both sides from a point 20 metres south east of its junction with Bourne Road to a point 40 metres in a north westerly direction

Kohat Road both sides from its junction with Bulford Road for a distance of 134 metres in a westerly direction

St Geroges Road both sides from a point 10 metres south of its junction with St Andrews Road for a distance of 35 metres in a northerly direction

b) To remove No Waiting Monday to Saturday 8am-4pm and replace with No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of roads:

St Andrews Road both sides from a point 5 metres west of its junction with Pennings Road to its junction with St Georges Road

Deposit copies of the Order, plans and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Tidworth Library, Tidworth Leisure Centre, Nadder Road, Tidworth during the hours of 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 2pm to 7pm Tuesday and Thursday and 10am to 1pm Saturday until 27th November 2017. Comments on the proposal together with the reasons for which they are made should be sent in writing or via the website to reach the Sustainable Transport Group by 27th November 2017 quoting reference LJB/TRO/TIDWtrev.
