Salisbury Parkour Park

Salisbury Parkour Park

Parkour is a relatively new sport which started in France during the 1980s and has become increasingly popular over recent years. Parkour is a Sport England recognised sport due to the associated health, social, community and physical benefits of taking part in such an activity. This project has been identified and led by local young people who want to take part but who currently don’t have a space where they can participate safely without being labelled as anti-social. We are building a Parkour course so that young people are able to practice this sport in an environment that is safe not only for them but also for other members of the public. As this will be the first course in Wiltshire it will attract young people from across Wiltshire and wider counties.

We would like to hear your thoughts about the proposal to build a purpose built Parkour Park in Churchill Gardens in Salisbury. This facility would be open to any member of the public to use for Parkour free of charge. Please take a few minutes to complete the Parkour Park survey. Thank you.
