State of the art fitness suite opens at Salisbury’s Five Rivers Health and Wellbeing Centre

A new state of the art fitness suite which uses the latest technology to help people tailor their keep fit regime to personal goals is now open at Five Rivers Health and Wellbeing Centre, Salisbury. Customers of all ages and abilities have been trying out the array of machines at the Wiltshire Council-run centre. The machines use software called PulseMove which helps people meet fitness targets, link up with their smartphones and have access to a virtual trainer. In order to get the most out of the new facilities, people need to attend an induction session. Staff will also be on hand to provide support, and to help people develop their own personalised fitness programmes. Cabinet member for leisure Jonathon Seed, who visited the site last week, said: “This latest addition to the new fitness services offered by Wiltshire Council for the people of Salisbury is going to be a popular facility. People can harness the latest technology to achieve their own personal fitness goals and stay healthy. “I’d encourage people of all ages and abilities to visit this state of the art fitness suite in the new Five Rivers Health and Wellbeing Centre in Salisbury and have a go.” The centre will also include new changing facilities, a new sports hall roof, refurbished spinning and dance studios, and a new floodlit all-weather pitch with changing and shower rooms. The new entrance and reception space will open out into a large open plan atrium with a refurbished cafe and improved family friendly seating areas with views of the pool.
