Local business support organisation The Enterprise Network (TEN) is calling businesswomen across Swindon and Wiltshire to celebrate International Women’s Day at its annual conference.
Taking place on 8th March at Bowood Hotel and Spa, the TEN Women in Business Conference will bring together business leaders from across the county to take part in a day of inspiration and information, including guest speakers, dynamic workshops, specialist business advice and networking opportunities.
Opening the day will be Wiltshire Councillor Fleur de Rhe-Philipe, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Skills and Strategic Transport. Ms de Rhe-Philipe will introduce the morning panel discussion, considering themes around ‘being a woman in business – challenges and opportunities’.
Keynote speaker Sahar Hashemi OBE, founder of Coffee Republic, will talk about her life and her businesses – how she works at success, how she deals with the challenges and, most importantly, how she maintains a balance in her life.
Hashemi is one of UK’s most inspirational female entrepreneurs and a powerful speaker on innovation and business mindset. She will be sharing with the audience her personal stories on becoming the founder of the UK’s first coffee chain, as well as forming the guilt-free confectionery brand Skinny Candy.
Workshops will run throughout the day on the themes of social media, SEO, corporate social responsibility, managing finance, communications, intellectual property, resilience and agility in business.
Returning for a second year, the event will include some exciting new developments and provide delegates with advice and support they can take away and implement in their own businesses.
Jol Rose, Development Officer at The Enterprise Network said:
