Wiltshire Council congratulates students receiving their A Level results today

Early indications suggest Wiltshire students have once again performed well against the national picture for A levels with a number of individual students doing extremely well. Laura Mayes, cabinet member for children’s services, said: “Congratulations to all those who have received their results today. I am really pleased so many students have done so well and I wish them well for the future in whatever they choose to do. “For those who perhaps haven’t quite achieved what they wanted, we hope they’re reassured there is support and opportunities available.” Carolyn Godfrey, corporate director, said: “The feedback we have received to date confirms a very positive overall picture of results. There are some outstanding individual and school results and the achievements of many young people has contributed to a very successful picture. “The hard work and perseverance of students is reflected in these results and the students are a credit to the teachers and lecturers in schools and colleges who have helped them to secure these achievements.” There is a range of support on hand for young people who may require further advice and guidance regarding their next steps. The schools, Wiltshire College and the University and College Admissions Service (UCAS) helpline all have advisers and a wide range of information on hand to support young people and offer advice. https://www.ucas.com/ The National Careers Service also provides information advice and guidance for young people.  https://nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk/Pages/Home.aspx
