Wiltshire Council’s very own Healthy Me programme kicks off again this April.

Healthy Me is Wiltshire Council’s fun, free, 10 week healthy weight management programme for children aged 7-11 and their families. The programme educates families all about nutrition and physical activity, helping families make small positive lifestyle changes to become healthier, and ultimately reach and maintain a healthy weight becoming more confident as a result.  

The 10 week course covers topics such as 5 a day, sugars & fats, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals, the importance of hydration, shopping on a budget, making healthy packed lunches and many more. All of this is backed up with fun physical activities such as a supermarket sweep hunt fresh fruit and veg, scootering, swimming, hall games, organised walks and many more themed activities to help reinforce what the families have learnt.   

The next course dates are as follows; 

Chippenham – The Olympiad – Tuesdays 4.15pm-5.45pm commences 25th April

Trowbridge – Trowbridge Sport Centre – Wednesday’s 4.30pm-6.00pm commences 26th April

Salisbury   – Five Rivers Health and Wellbeing Centre – Wednesday’s 4.30pm-6.00pm commences 26th April

Devizes – Devizes Leisure Centre – Thursday’s 4.15pm – 5.45pm commences 27th April
